*Do you know how to treat a victim bitten by a snake?*
*Do not delay!*
In the State of Israel there are dozens of species of snakes, 0 species of which are venomous (Eretz-Israeli viper, Hermon viper, mixed viper, Negev hornbill, large achen, small achen , Ein-gadi resin and black viper). The snakes live all over the territory of the State of Israel, but the Haaretz-Israel viper is the most common. Every year
dozens of people are injured as a result of snakebites during the hot summer season.
*Every bite should be treated as a venomous snakebite!*
* Signs and symptoms that the victim will present:*
signs of a bite (teeth/scratches/local swelling)
local pain
there may be red streaks from the bite site and up
a feeling of numbness and tingling
general weakness
sweating
nausea and vomiting accelerated pulse and
breathing convulsions heart rhythm
disturbances
cognitive suppression
up to loss of consciousness
*How will we treat the casualty?*
A medical care team must be called.
The victim must be moved away and moved to a safe place.
The victim must be completely rested and calmed down.
Clothing and jewelry must be removed from the injured limb/snapped limb.
The injured limb/snapped limb must be fixed to
a healthy limb.
Description of the appearance of the snake together with the victim (color, special marks, stripes)

Do not cut the place of the bite
. Do not suck the venom.
Do not cool / heat the bite site.
Do not place a tourniquet.
Do not give the victim food or drink.
Don't chase the snake.
